MOSSVALE PARK

Public BBQ

Mossvale Park is a peaceful spot that truly shines in autumn when the large European trees put on a spectacular display of colour. The park features undercover BBQ facilities including free electric barbecues and even a fireplace, making it well-equipped for gatherings. Visitors regularly use the space for weddings and birthdays, bringing their own tables and chairs to set up under the lush, shady trees. Some of these trees are listed on the National Trust register, adding historical significance to the setting. The playground keeps kids entertained while dogs can run off-lead across the well-maintained grounds. Toilets are available on-site. The park hosts various events throughout the year and remains quiet despite its facilities. Originally privately owned until the late 1940s, it's now managed by the local council. The combination of old-growth trees, barbecue facilities, and open space makes it popular for both casual dog walks and special celebrations.
