A small picnic spot on the road verge at Scrivener Dam with a dual-top barbecue, both cooktops facing the water. Two picnic tables sit near it under tree shade looking towards the dam, with a third on the Lake Burley Griffin side beneath its own shade shelter, and there are bins. The setting is the appeal - a stream on one side, the dam on the other, and a view that does rather more than a roadside stop has any right to. It is a good spot for a fish. There is no water tap at the barbecue, so bring your own. The picnic area sits close to the water and the stretch between the boom and the dam is a marked danger area, so children need watching.
