MITCHELL MEMORIAL PARK

Public BBQ

Mitchell Memorial Park serves as a popular rest stop for travellers moving between Roma and Charleville. The park centres around a well-maintained war memorial featuring a soldier statue, with clean BBQ and picnic areas spread throughout the grounds. The playground stands out with an ambitious rope web climbing structure leading to what visitors describe as an exceptional slide that keeps kids entertained for multiple runs. Clean toilet facilities include disabled access and basic amenities like soap. The park also features a skate park, though the playground area remains unfenced. Well-maintained gardens and a steam train display add visual interest to the space. The site has become known among Pokemon GO players for its multiple gyms and abundant spawns. Overall, the park provides a practical, well-kept stopping point with good facilities for families breaking up long drives through regional Queensland.
