MIHKELSON RESERVE

Public BBQ

Mihkelson Reserve proved to be one of those quietly reliable suburban gems that delivers exactly what families need without any fanfare. The sprawling open space immediately caught my attention – it's genuinely spacious, with multiple fields that handle everything from weekend cricket matches to impromptu soccer kickabouts. The kids made a beeline for the compact playground while I appreciated the practical touches: off-street parking that actually exists, and the reserve's smart positioning away from busy roads. The walking trail provided a pleasant circuit around the grounds, though I couldn't help but notice the facilities felt a bit neglected – the toilets were locked during my visit, which proved inconvenient with young ones in tow.
