MEMORIAL PARK

Public BBQ

Memorial Park sits peacefully along the Murray River in Howlong, offering a well-maintained riverside escape that manages to please everyone from families to four-legged visitors. The colourful playground equipment draws young children under a protective sail shade, while the designated off-leash dog area provides ample space for canine exercise along the river's edge. BBQ facilities and both open-air and undercover seating areas create ideal conditions for casual gatherings, complemented by pristine grassed areas perfect for picnics with water views. The park's boat ramp serves fishing enthusiasts and water access seekers, while abundant birdlife enhances the tranquil atmosphere. Facilities include toilets (though standards vary), picnic tables, and generous open spaces for active play. The riverside setting proves particularly scenic during autumn and winter, when the peaceful ambiance becomes even more pronounced. Whether visiting for a family barbecue, a riverside dog walk, or simply seeking a quiet spot by the water, Memorial Park delivers a well-equipped, naturally beautiful destination.
