MAROUBRA PARK

Public BBQ

A big beachfront park at Maroubra, with a great children's playground and a skate park that also caters for bicycle stunts, right on the sand. The beach itself is much larger than Bondi or Bronte and noticeably less crowded, with excellent waves and plenty of surfers. There are clean bathrooms, a kiosk, and generous free four-hour parking both at the park and along the beach, with good access for anyone with mobility needs. The coastal path from Coogee through South Coogee brings you here on foot, passing a small natural rock pool halfway along that children love. The one intrusion is aircraft noise from the nearby airport.
