MALENY SHOWGROUNDS

Public BBQ

A versatile, well-used showground that allows camping, set far enough out of town to be peaceful but only a beautiful ten-minute walk from the shops and cafes via an environmental walking shortcut. It is RV friendly with showers, and the atmosphere is quiet and respectful. The real drawcard is the creek, where platypus are regularly seen — a local guide runs platypus tours through the grounds and they are well worth doing. One significant caveat: the amenities block draws consistent complaints about cleanliness and has at times been left in a poor state for extended periods.
