MABEL PARK

Public BBQ

Mabel Park in Slacks Creek offers a sprawling layout with basketball courts, outdoor exercise equipment, and a fully gated dog park. Multiple gazebos provide sheltered seating, and BBQ facilities are available. The water play area features pump-operated water features and rock play zones, though the design directs spray toward the seating area, so parents should expect to get wet. Nature play areas and equipment suited to different age groups round out the offerings. Maintenance is inconsistent, with rubbish appearing in the sand and around the grounds. The park ranger presence is notable but approach varies. Despite the upkeep issues, the range of facilities and enclosed dog area make it functional for families seeking varied activities. Toilets are on-site.
