LLOYD PARK RESERVE

Public BBQ

Lloyd Park Reserve proves itself a surprisingly comprehensive sporting hub tucked away in Langwarrin's suburban sprawl. The facility's crown jewel is undoubtedly its main oval, complete with proper lights, electronic scoreboard, and a satisfyingly dramatic siren that announces the action. While parking becomes a minor ordeal during match days - expect a proper shuffle getting out after games - the grounds themselves are meticulously maintained. The reserve caters to families admirably, with electric barbecues, shaded seating areas, and a compact playground that keeps the littlies occupied. Dog owners particularly appreciate the dedicated off-leash area and thoughtfully installed water fountains at canine height. The facilities span multiple codes - tennis courts sit alongside netball courts, with cricket and football sharing the main oval in a sensible arrangement that maximises the space. Clean public toilets service the complex, though their absence near some picnic areas catches visitors off-guard.
