Public BBQ

A waterfront park at Woy Woy, recently redone, with a securely fenced playground that lets parents relax with a child inclined to bolt - slides, swings and enough to hold children from babies up to about eight. Tables and chairs are dotted about with some of them under shelter, and there are toilets, barbecues and a boat ramp. The views over the water are the reason people keep coming back, with pelicans, ducks and plenty of other wildlife about, and a take-away shop close by for fish and chips. A walking and riding track follows the waterfront, a ferry runs from here, and the railway station is an easy walk. Parking at the park's own carpark gets difficult on weekends when the boats are out.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Central Coast (NSW) council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Central Coast (NSW) council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
