Lions Park sits just off Manilla Street and provides a practical spot for a barbecue stop in regional NSW. The park features a single electric BBQ unit positioned under cover, alongside several sheltered picnic tables that offer protection from the elements. A covered playground caters to families with children. The toilet block is conveniently located on-site, and there's a dump point near the entrance for those travelling with caravans or motorhomes. The gravel car park is accessible through a narrow gate, so larger vehicles need to take care. The park is notably clean and well-maintained, with visitors commenting it surpasses many metropolitan parks in condition. Food, drinks and petrol are available nearby, making it a convenient place to stop and relax during a drive through the region.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Tamworth council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
