LIONS PARK

Public BBQ

Lions Park sits beautifully near the water, offering families a proper slice of Australian parkland that extends across a bridge into an even larger recreational area. The moment you arrive, the generous shade from mature trees becomes apparent – a blessing during those scorching summer days when the barbecue plates are sizzling. The park strikes that perfect balance between convenience and natural charm. Clean barbecues and well-maintained toilets make it genuinely family-friendly, while the playground equipment keeps children entertained for hours. There's even a compact skate park tucked away for the more adventurous youngsters. The picnic tables are strategically positioned under the canopy, creating comfortable spots for extended family gatherings. What impressed me most was how the location manages to feel both accessible – just off the main road – yet peacefully removed from traffic noise. It's the sort of place where you can easily spend a couple of hours without checking your watch, watching kids climb and swing while adults enjoy a leisurely barbecue.
