LICOLA PICNIC RESERVE

Public BBQ

Positioned along Jamieson-Licola Road where Victoria's high country meets genuine isolation, this picnic reserve sits right on the waterside without needing any fancy additions. The barbecue facilities are just metres from the water's edge, with picnic tables spread out enough that you're not eating on top of other groups. The setup is practical with functional toilets nearby, parking that stays usable even after rain, and straightforward facilities that show someone actually knew what bush picnicking requires. The main appeal is the remoteness. Licola's distance from anywhere transforms the reserve into either a destination for those escaping the crowds or a useful stop for travellers heading through the surrounding wilderness. The mountain country provides the scenery while the facilities simply deliver the basics and stay out of the way.
