KERRY ROAD PARK

Public BBQ

Kerry Road Park occupies a curious position between Archerfield's residential streets and industrial hum, creating an unexpectedly peaceful pocket despite weekday machinery noise. The Lavelle Street entrance offers the most convenient access, though parking remains limited,a minor grumble in an area clearly designed for locals rather than tourists. The park's barbecue facilities anchor a shaded corner alongside two picnic tables, providing respite from Queensland's unforgiving sun. However, families should approach the playground with realistic expectations and closed-toe shoes. The wood chip surface, while well-intentioned, has earned a reputation for producing splinters in small feet, and shade remains conspicuously absent from the play area. What Kerry Road Park lacks in amenities, notably toilets,it compensates for with generous open space perfect for a casual game of footy.
