KATANDRA RESERVE

Public BBQ

Katandra Reserve offers a tranquil retreat with spectacular views stretching from Erina and Matcham all the way to Terrigal and the Pacific Ocean. The St John's lookout provides impressive eastern vistas, while the reserve's abundant trees create welcome shade and cooler temperatures. Well-maintained barbecue facilities and clean toilets make this an ideal picnic spot. The reserve serves as a trailhead for bushwalking tracks, including the two-hour walk to Gosford, suitable for various fitness levels. While leaches can be present during wetter periods, dry conditions typically offer pleasant walking. The combination of convenient parking, peaceful atmosphere, and stunning coastal views makes this a beloved spot for both quick stops and extended visits. Note that dogs are not permitted, preserving the natural tranquillity of this elevated escape.
