JOODANNA RESERVE

Public BBQ

Perched on a gentle rise in Joondanna, this compact suburban reserve delivers an unexpected treat: spectacular city views stretching north across Perth's skyline. The real drawcard is its reputation as a secret fireworks viewing spot, offering an elevated vantage point that locals guard jealously. The BBQ facilities sit beneath neat undercover areas, perfectly positioned for families to cook while keeping an eye on children exploring the modern playground. Two full-size football fields provide ample space for a kick, while the outdoor gym equipment caters to fitness enthusiasts. Dog owners appreciate the thoughtful provision of waste bags and bins throughout the tree-lined space. Evening visits reward visitors with stellar city panoramas, though the lack of toilets and limited street parking can prove frustrating. Despite these minor inconveniences, this peaceful pocket park between residential blocks offers a surprisingly idyllic escape, complete with native birdlife and that coveted urban vista.
