JOHN SPRENT RESERVE

Public BBQ

Bellbowrie Park Reserve in Brisbane's western suburbs combines open grasslands, bushland, and river frontage. Tranquil atmosphere. Often you'll have plenty of space to yourself, good for relaxed picnics, walking dogs, or casual strolls through the rolling hills. Early morning visitors frequently spot kangaroos. Ducks are common throughout the day. The facilities are fairly basic with undercover seating, picnic tables, and an electric barbecue, though parking can be tight on busier days. Walking trails wind through bunya pine groves and past ponds, though some paths aren't heavily maintained and can be tricky to follow. A sense of seclusion. It feels genuinely isolated and calm despite being in the suburbs.
