JAMES KING PARK BOAT RAMP

Public BBQ

This riverside reserve on the Murray combines practical facilities with scenic appeal, drawing families and road-trippers breaking the Adelaide-Canberra route. The playground equipment keeps children entertained while adults appreciate the water views and convenient access to local bakery treats. A small sandy beach provides toe-dipping opportunities, and the boat ramp stays busy with water-skiers cutting across the river. The park has hosted community events like the Sunraysia Chrysler Enthusiast Group's annual gathering, proving its worth for social BBQs. Ducks and swans patrol the waterfront, delighting young visitors who come armed with bread. While the barbecue facilities have seen better days and the play equipment could benefit from a pressure clean, the location delivers on its primary promise: a pleasant Murray River stopover with functional amenities and attractive river panoramas. The quiet atmosphere makes it suitable for morning tea or a leisurely family wade.
