HORSHAM NATURE AND WATER PLAY PARK

Public BBQ

A riverside playground on the Wimmera at Horsham, beautifully designed and built, with plenty for younger children as well as older ones. Sheltered picnic areas, barbecues, clean toilets and drinking taps are all on hand, and much of the play space is partially covered. The nature play and the riverbank setting are the draw, with access to the water for a quick swim. Two warnings worth heeding: the river is not fenced off, so small children need watching, and the water play area is unreliable - often only one sprinkler runs at a time, and it has been found completely out of order over long stretches, public holidays included. The carpark is small. A commercial caravan park sits next door.
