HERRIDGE PARK

Public BBQ

Herridge Park in Wyalong proves that sometimes the best road trip discoveries are the unplanned ones. This compact park on Neeld Street delivers exactly what weary travellers need: genuinely spotless toilets (a rarity that deserves celebration), shaded play equipment under sail cloth, and BBQ facilities that could use a bit more attention from the cleaning crew. The fenced playground makes it particularly appealing for families with energetic youngsters who need to burn off some steam between destinations. What sets this place apart is its reliable cleanliness - a welcome relief from the usual highway toilet horror stories. The covered areas provide decent shelter, and while you're here, the local IGA and coffee shops are worth investigating. It's not glamorous, but sometimes a clean, quiet spot to regroup is worth its weight in gold on a long journey through NSW.
