GRIFFITH RD PARK

Public BBQ

Perched alongside a picturesque man-made lake in Newport, this expansive park delivers a surprisingly sophisticated recreational experience. The thoughtfully designed space features dual dog exercise areas separated by secure fencing, complete with water bowls and undercover seating for owners. Families gravitate toward the simple yet effective playground equipment, while joggers appreciate the flat parklands and well-positioned benches scattered throughout the grounds. The abundance of mature trees provides welcome shade during Queensland's warmer months. The park transforms into a cultural hub during special events, hosting jazz and wine festivals that draw appreciative crowds. Though the location's popularity occasionally strains the limited parking arrangements, the easy walking access to nearby shops compensates for this minor inconvenience.
