GOLDEN GULLY PARK

Public BBQ

Golden Gully Park sits beside a gentle stretch of river where the sound of flowing water mingles with the occasional bark of delighted dogs. The park's simple barbecue facilities occupy a prime position overlooking the waterway, making it an ideal spot for families who appreciate both a decent feed and entertainment for the four-legged members. What strikes you immediately is how the dogs take to the river - tails wagging furiously as they splash about while their owners fire up the hotplates. The setting feels wonderfully unpretentious, the kind of place where you can throw a few snags on the barbie, watch the kids skip stones, and let the afternoon drift by at its own pace. It's not fancy, but sometimes the best spots aren't.
