GLEDSWOOD HILLS RESERVE

Public BBQ

A large, clean, modern reserve at Gledswood Hills with an excellent playground of swings, a seesaw, slides and a flying fox, plus workout equipment, tennis courts, a basketball and futsal court, two barbecues, a drinking water station and toilets including a disabled washroom. Footpaths connect through the surrounding estate for a walk. It is a popular spot for birthdays and large gatherings. Three things come up repeatedly: there is only one set of toilets and it sits a long way from the playground, the toilets themselves are unreliable with broken locks and doors, and there is very little shade over the play area in summer. Seating is also thin once you leave the two picnic areas.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
