FREDERICK DUFFY PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked away in Wanneroo, this recently renovated playground manages to be both brilliantly functional and mysteriously under-visited. The equipment gleams with newness - ziplines, climbing webs, and toddler areas all sensibly arranged under mature trees providing genuine shade. The barbecue facilities sit under a proper gazebo with picnic tables, creating perfect family spots. There's even a water fountain for humans and pets, plus bike paths for energetic moments. The glaring omission? No toilets whatsoever. This seems deliberately mysterious - everything screams "family-friendly" except this crucial oversight. Wanneroo shops are nearby, but it requires planning that parents will find either mildly irritating or perfectly reasonable. Despite this curious gap, the park delivers what families need: space, quality equipment, shelter, and that rare commodity - peace and quiet.
