FORESHORE RESERVE

Public BBQ

A reserve running right along the beach, with an asphalt cycling and walking path the full length of it and a long jetty that is excellent for a walk or a fish — bracing in a stiff breeze. The views take in the inlet, the nearby islands and the northern end of Wilsons Promontory. Grass is always mown and well maintained, with a few picnic tables and plenty of room to throw down a rug. A children's playground is close by, along with a general store and takeaway, which makes it a natural finish to the rail trail. A quaint fishing village setting that is easy to linger in.
