FORD PARK

Public BBQ

Ford Park delivers a winning combination of beach access and family facilities along a sweeping stretch of coastline that extends to the Pambula River mouth. The playground caters to all abilities with numerous activities, whilst covered BBQ areas with shade sails allow parents to cook whilst keeping watch over the children within the enclosed space. The location sits beside a large oval, just 50 metres from safe ocean swimming. When the wind cooperates, the beach walk reveals the true character of this spot. Parking proves straightforward, though the lack of footpaths between car parks and playground creates hazardous navigation around reversing vehicles. The Sunday market operates with limited food options. Fair warning: aggressive seagulls patrol the area with military precision, known to launch coordinated strikes on unsuspecting toddlers clutching chips.
