FEDERATION DR RESERVE

Public BBQ

Federation Dr Reserve sits alongside the river in Waterford, offering a range of facilities including BBQ areas, a boat ramp, skate park, and basketball ring. The park features two separate fenced dog areas - one for large dogs and one for small dogs - both fully enclosed with poo bags, bins, sun shelters, and seating. The larger dog section can get muddy, though the smaller area provides a clean alternative. Shade is plentiful throughout the reserve, with covered picnic tables near the dog parks. The children's playground is basic but functional, surrounded by open grass areas. River views dominate the afternoons, though industrial containers across the water detract slightly from the scenery. Wildlife is common along the waterfront. The park lacks nearby toilets, which limits its appeal for longer BBQ sessions. The reserve attracts a friendly dog-walking community and remains reasonably well-maintained by council.
