EDGBASTON ROAD RESERVE

Public BBQ

Edgbaston Road Reserve presents itself as Beverly Hills' latest family destination, featuring a recently upgraded playground that draws families with its decent-sized play equipment and perimeter cycling track. The park's crown jewel remains its double barbecue stand, positioned alongside clean public toilets that visitors consistently praise. While the new playground equipment shows promise, some teething issues have emerged - rope stairs requiring attention and swings that could benefit from maintenance. The reserve's most notable challenge lies in its limited shade coverage, making late morning summer visits particularly challenging when the space falls quiet under the intense sun. The former off-leash dog area has been permanently closed following council decisions, though the park maintains its appeal for families seeking a safe play environment. Despite these growing pains, the smooth footpaths prove perfect for young cyclists and scooter enthusiasts, while the barbecue facilities offer families a proper spot for outdoor dining in this evolving suburban reserve.
