DEEPWATER OVAL

Public BBQ

Stumbled upon Deepwater Oval during a drive through rural NSW, and what a pleasant surprise this little gem turned out to be. The main attraction here is undoubtedly the sprawling sports oval that dominates the landscape - a proper country ground where you can almost hear the echoes of weekend cricket matches and footy games. The facilities are refreshingly straightforward, with decent toilets and basic amenities that do the job without any pretense. What struck me most was the genuine country atmosphere - wide open spaces, plenty of room for the kids to run about, and that distinctly Australian feeling of community sporting grounds. Perfect for a quick stop if you're travelling through the area and need to stretch your legs. The oval itself is well-maintained, and there's something quite peaceful about these rural sporting venues when they're quiet during the week.
