DANDENONG WETLANDS

Public BBQ

This expansive wetlands reserve offers a peaceful escape with well-maintained walking and cycling paths that circuit the lake in about 30 minutes on flat terrain. The highlight is a professionally built bird hide positioned mid-walk, perfect for observing the diverse wildlife that thrives around the water. Free electric barbecues and a children's playground make it ideal for family outings, while the lush green grass and shaded benches create perfect picnic spots. The cultural diversity of visitors adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Basketball courts and a nearby stadium provide additional recreational options. Well-spaced benches offer quiet rest stops, and the park connects to extended trail networks including access to Myuna Wetlands via an underpass beneath Heatherton Road.
