Public BBQ

A well-designed public park at Woody Point overlooking Bramble Bay, and unusually well set up for a group. A large undercover picnic area holds tables, benches and four barbecues, with more of them a short distance away, and the playground is sheltered too, with swings and slides. Walking tracks and a cycling path run through plenty of green space. Toilets are a short walk from the main shelter, on the ground floor with easy wheelchair access, and there is hard-stand parking on site including disability bays. The Belvedere Hotel is a short walk. Dogs are welcome on lead. For a large gathering it is worth checking with the council about a booking.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Moreton Bay council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Moreton Bay council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
