CREEKWOOD PARK

Public BBQ

Creekwood Park emerges as Douglas's leafy sanctuary, where towering native trees create a natural cathedral of shade that sets it apart from the suburb's more exposed green spaces. The generous canopy provides welcome relief during Queensland's scorching summers, making this an ideal spot for extended outdoor gatherings. A well-maintained walkway meanders through the area, offering glimpses of Douglas's characteristically lush landscape that defines this corner of the region. The park's free public barbecue facilities cater to families and groups, though visitors should prepare for a parking challenge - roadside spaces prove elusive in this popular neighbourhood. The standout feature remains an extraordinary picnic table that defies conventional design, drawing curious comments from regular users. While the parking situation requires patience, the abundant natural shade and unique amenities make Creekwood Park worth the extra effort to secure a spot.
