Public BBQ

One of the better equipped playgrounds in Canberra's north, with separate structures for younger and older children. The younger side has a climbing wall, a dinosaur wall and tunnel, a cubby with a shop window and a couple of slides; the older side has suspended hammock seats, a tilting beam, an obstacle wall and a rope climbing tower. There is also a nature play table with drains and bowls, a drum set, a xylophone pipe, and swings with both standard and toddler seats. Around it sit picnic tables and benches, some under cover, barbecues, bubblers, toilets, bins and easy parking. Multi-sport courts, tennis courts and an outdoor gym circuit are all on site, with a big grass area for kites or a footy and the Crace stormwater wetlands alongside. A shade sail covers one playground area but not the swings.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with the local council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
