COLDSTREAM STATION RESERVE

Public BBQ

A free pump track that draws people from well outside the district, tight and fun and built to suit everything from toddlers on balance bikes to confident riders. It is well maintained and big enough to absorb a crowd. The supporting facilities are the reason it works as a family outing: modern toilets on site, a drinking water tap, easy free parking and a small sheltered area with picnic tables where you can sit and watch. It sits directly on the rail trail, with the run through to Lilydale and its cafes and bakeries an easy ride. Cows in the neighbouring paddock complete the scene. Two gaps: there is no shade at all beside the track, and the toilets are often without soap.
