CLAVERTON DRIVE PARK

Public BBQ

Two fenced dog parks sit side by side here, split for large and small dogs. The larger side has an agility course and an undercover area with metal benches; the smaller side has seating but little shelter from the sun. Waste bags, a bin and a drinking tap for dogs are all provided, and the crowd is a friendly one. Outside the fences there is a barbecue and a sheltered table area under plenty of shady trees, plus a good-sized playground with swings and climbing nets, so the whole family has somewhere to be. Koalas are sometimes spotted in the big gums lining the dog park, which is worth looking up for. Street parking is plentiful. There are no toilets at all — the nearest are scattered along the dog beach, and the path down to the bay makes a lovely dog-friendly walk by the water.
