CENTENARY PARK

Public BBQ

Centenary Park serves as a well-equipped roadside stop in Wilmington where seventeen-metre vehicles navigate comfortably through the thoughtfully laid-out grounds. The park offers undercover seating with free electric BBQs, immaculately maintained toilets, and a fenced playground featuring well-kept swing sets. Practical additions include a caravan dump point, potable water from multiple taps, dog-friendly areas with supplied waste bags, and ample parking off the main street. Covered shelter sheds provide cooking and eating areas protected from the elements, making it suitable for extended lunch stops or brief refreshment breaks. The edge-of-town location combines convenience with sufficient space for large vehicles to manoeuvre, whilst the abundance of bins helps maintain cleanliness. Some visitors note occasional odours, though the overall maintenance standards and comprehensive facilities make it a popular choice for travellers passing through the region.
