CANNONVALE BEACH

Public BBQ

A calm, netted beach at Cannonvale with a well-appointed park behind it: barbecues, clean tables and benches, a small playground, gym equipment, toilets, drinking fountains for both people and dogs, and plenty of shade. Parking is generous, with disability and off-street bays and easy access to the sand. The boardwalk is the standout, a wide, shady five-kilometre route through to the Airlie marina and back, broad enough for walkers, joggers, scooters and bikes in both directions, with cafes along the way. The water is calm but the shallows can be muddy, so it suits sitting and walking more than swimming.
