BURNUM BURNUM SANCTUARY

Public BBQ

Burnum Burnum Sanctuary sits on the Woronora River with a boat ramp, clean toilet block, and sheltered tables for groups. The playground handles up to 10 kids' parties at once, featuring a flying fox and equipment that keeps children busy while adults set up at one of the two electric barbecues. No cafe on site. At the far end, a bush track leads up a steep but manageable climb to a lookout. A four-year-old made it to the top, though it's not exactly easy. The Hobbit Hounds rescued greyhound group meets here every Sunday. Dogs welcome on leash throughout the walking trails. Swimming spots dot the river where ducks and native birds gather. Families fish from the banks, explore the bush, and spot wildlife in the surrounding areas. Clean wash facilities near the water. Gets busy on weekends with families meeting for barbecues.
