BUNJIL NEST PARK

Public BBQ

This expansive family destination on Unity Drive offers something for every age group, though visitors should expect some maintenance inconsistencies. The park's crown jewel is its thoughtfully designed playground complex, featuring separate zones for different age ranges - toddlers through older children - with slides, flying foxes, and climbing structures that have been recently updated for improved safety and accessibility. The barbecue facilities provide undercover cooking areas with ample picnic seating, though mechanical reliability can be spotty. The park's multi-purpose design shines with its skate area where young riders practice tricks, table tennis tables (bring your own bats), and enough open space for ball games and cycling. Parking proves convenient with untimed parallel spots, while paved pathways accommodate prams easily. The toilet facilities function adequately despite their basic condition. What sets this location apart is its comprehensive approach - rather than the typical cookie-cutter playground, someone clearly considered how families actually use these spaces, creating distinct zones that work together harmoniously.
