BROUGHTON AVENUE RESERVE

Public BBQ

Broughton Avenue Reserve presents itself as a family-friendly destination where the highlight water play feature commands attention from the moment visitors arrive. The park's circular grass expanse provides ample space for children to roam, while barbecue hot plates and undercover seating areas cater to families planning extended stays. The playground facilities include a sandpit and water play elements that consistently draw enthusiastic responses from younger visitors, though parents should note the absence of toilet facilities on-site. The park's design favours children aged seven and above, offering adventure-style play equipment that may prove challenging for smaller tots. Practical considerations include limited parking availability, which can complicate arrival during busy periods. The drinking fountain, while present, has been noted for inconsistent water pressure. Despite these minor shortcomings, the reserve maintains its appeal as a destination where families can enjoy outdoor barbecues while children engage with the distinctive water features that set this location apart from typical suburban parks.
