BROOKVILLE GARDENS

Public BBQ

Nestled in Toorak's residential heart, Brookville Gardens serves as an unexpected suburban sanctuary where locals gather for barbecues and recreation. The park features well-maintained facilities including clean public toilets and a functional BBQ area, though visitors might find the newer gazebo's design puzzling - its single bench positioned awkwardly at the edge offers little protection from Melbourne's unpredictable weather. Dog owners particularly appreciate this spot, as canines roam freely among a social pack of neighbourhood pets, while the adjacent primary school adds occasional bursts of youthful energy. The grounds encompass a basketball court, playground equipment, and even a BMX track for adventurous cyclists. Despite sitting beside a school (bringing inevitable noise), the space maintains a surprisingly peaceful atmosphere. While not the most aesthetically striking park in Melbourne's affluent southeast, Brookville Gardens delivers practical outdoor amenities in a convenient suburban setting.
