BRIGHTWOOD ADVENTURE PARK

Public BBQ

Brightwood Adventure Park sprawls across Baldivis like a playground architect's fever dream, and frankly, it's magnificent. The star attraction is an absolutely towering slide that had my eldest scrambling up with confidence and my youngest requiring a tactical rescue mission involving patient coaxing and maternal assistance. The flying fox stretches impressively long, longer than Kwinana's version, locals assure me,while the digger equipment transforms children into miniature engineers with alarming enthusiasm. The BBQ facilities nestle amongst genuinely green spaces where families spread out comfortably, though you'll want to plan your visit strategically since there's a complete absence of toilets. The climbing frames cater brilliantly to various ages, from toddlers to adults brave enough to test the swings. Little pathways wind through the grounds, perfect for scooters and bikes, while vast grassy areas invite impromptu football matches. It's refreshingly unenclosed, offering breathing room that enclosed parks lack, though this means zero shade over play equipment,a consideration for Perth's relentless summer sun. Despite these practical limitations, it's easily Baldivis's most expansive and engaging park.
