BOYD RESERVE PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

Boyd Reserve in Currans Hill offers a modest but pleasant escape for families seeking a quiet afternoon out. The playground equipment, while nothing revolutionary, kept the children happily occupied with traditional swings and slides that actually work properly - a welcome relief from some of the over-engineered contraptions you find elsewhere. The real charm lies in the small pond, where a delightful menagerie of ducks and swamp hens provide natural entertainment. The kids were thrilled to spot turtles basking near the water's edge - free wildlife viewing that beats any petting zoo admission fee. It's compact enough that you won't lose sight of wandering toddlers, yet spacious enough for a proper walk around the perimeter. Not the sort of place you'd drive across Sydney to visit, but for locals, it's a perfectly serviceable spot for burning off excess energy and enjoying some fresh air.
