BORONIA BUSHLAND RESERVVE

Public BBQ

Boronia Heights Bushland Reserve feels almost hidden. The entrance is just a narrow single-track road that makes first-timers wonder if they're going the wrong way, but keep going. The reserve offers wood BBQs, clean toilets, and well-maintained walking paths through lush greenery. Wildlife is a major draw. Kangaroos are regularly spotted within the bushland, sometimes multiple in a single visit. The playground caters to various ages, with climbing forts and balancing logs that challenge older kids, plus enough space for adults to join in. Open grassy areas provide room to spread out. The bush walks are safe and enclosed, making them family-friendly. Parking is the main downside. Spots fill quickly on sunny weekends, forcing visitors to park on the street. Mosquitoes can be heavy around the playground area, so come prepared. The reserve has improved over the years with upgraded facilities while maintaining its bushland character.
