Public BBQ

A fully fenced community playground at Bonython with an unusually rich spread of equipment: a climb-on fire truck cubby fitted with steering wheels, gauges and a megaphone, a jumbo rope structure, a play tower with a hammock seat and rope obstacle wall, a four-seater spring hopper, a standing swing, and swings with both standard and toddler seats. A half basketball court sits alongside. Sheltered picnic tables with a double barbecue and bins are just outside the fence, with bench seats under tree shade and a stone wall for seating within. Two things to know: there are no toilets, and no car park, with street parking about two hundred metres away and no-parking signs around the park itself. The shade sails do little between about eleven and four.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with the local council.

You should first check with your local council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
