BONVILLE CREEK

Public BBQ

Nestled within Bongil Bongil National Park beside Bonville Creek, this picnic area offers a serene escape beneath impressive towering gums that provide welcome shade during sweltering summer days. The site features gas barbecues (recently upgraded), clean amenities, and abundant picnic tables. A short walk leads to a lookout over the water, while a nearby pontoon provides access for launching canoes and small watercraft. Anglers can try their luck from the creek's edge, and birdwatchers will delight in spotting various species, including remarkably tame kookaburras willing to feed from outstretched hands. The peaceful atmosphere makes this ideal for families seeking a tranquil outdoor experience. The quiet setting proves popular enough that locals return weekend after weekend.
