BARRABA MEMORIAL SWIMMING POOL

Public BBQ

Barraba Memorial Swimming Pool stands as one of the New England North West's finest aquatic facilities, boasting a presentation that rivals resort standards. The centrepiece indoor therapy pool and changing amenities maintain an exceptional level of cleanliness, while the main pool area offers a waterslide, dedicated toddler's zone, large swimming pool, and heated pool for year-round comfort. The facility's operational hours prove less reliable than its impressive infrastructure, with frequent early closures at 5pm rather than the advertised 6pm, and Monday closings that have persisted for years. The waterslide operates weekends only, though this hardly diminishes its appeal to younger visitors. Hot chips at $2 represent remarkable value, whilst the friendly local staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that draws returning visitors whenever they pass through Barraba. The pools rarely reach capacity, offering a peaceful swim experience. Though some visitors note occasional service inconsistencies, the overall facility remains a solid choice for families and grey nomads exploring rural New South Wales.
