BALMORAL PARK

Public BBQ

A large open park in Derrimut built around a well-equipped fenced off-leash dog area. It is double-gated with fencing the whole way around, split into separate runs for large and small dogs, and each side has its own drinking station. There is generous room for a proper run or a game of fetch, bins are provided and bags are usually stocked. The shortcomings are worth knowing before you drive across town: the enclosure is essentially bare grass with little landscaping and no shade, mowing can fall behind, and there are only about four benches and nothing in the way of agility equipment. It works well for straightforward socialising rather than as a destination in itself.
