BACCHUS ROAD RESERVE

Public BBQ

Bacchus Road Reserve proves that sometimes the best BBQ spots are the ones that don't try too hard. This unpretentious neighbourhood park wraps a large grassy oval with a walking path that's perfect for working up an appetite before firing up the barbie. The undercover cooking area sits sensibly positioned next to a compact playground, allowing parents to flip snags while keeping one eye on the kids tackling the swings. What sets this place apart is its refreshingly honest approach to recreation. The half basketball court provides genuine entertainment - visitors consistently rave about finally finding a park with a proper hoop. A small skate area keeps older kids occupied, while the reliable water supply means you won't be caught short mid-cook. It's the sort of straightforward family spot where you can spread out on the grass without pretension, cook a decent meal under shelter, and actually enjoy watching the kids play rather than worry about them. Sometimes that's exactly what a weekend barbecue needs.
