ARDLETHAN RECREATIONAL PARK

Public BBQ

A neat little park behind the recreation reserve in the main street of Ardlethan, set up for travellers and free apart from the power, which is two dollars for twelve hours across about eight sites. There are flushing toilets open overnight, undercover seating, a clean electric barbecue, picnic tables, filtered water and bins. The playground is good and shade sails were going in at last look. There is ample room for caravans and motorhomes, with a dump point and grey water disposal in town. Shops, an IGA, a coffee shop, the pub and the bowling club are all across the road or a short stroll, and a bus stop and fortnightly mobile library call here too. Quiet, well cared for by the locals, and one of the better country stopovers.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
